About

Always building.

Mason Kesner has been building things since he was 12, starting with puppet shows for kids' birthday parties. That instinct never left, carrying through the twenty plus years since, most notably founding and exiting Asmbly Agency before launching his consultancy, BreakPoint Strategies. From the outside, each new venture looked like ambition. From the inside, some of it was — and some of it was hustle used as a place to hide from parts of his life he didn't yet have the time, or the safety, to face.

Raised deep inside the church, in the heart of the Bible Belt — close enough to see behind the curtain — Mason eventually walked away, unsure what he believed, but sure it wasn't what he'd been living. What followed was years of separating the faith he was raised in from the performance it had become, and doing the same work in how he saw his politics, his relationships, and himself.

Mason now writes and speaks on the space between performance and truth: in business, in belief, in what it costs to build a life worth living. He's Founder & CEO of BreakPoint Strategies, advising founders and growth-stage brands. He's writing at masonkesner.substack.com. He lives in New York City.
